Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm in San Donato, a commune in the Metropolitan city of Milan, on 02 October. Members of Indian diaspora, officials of San Donato commune and Consulate officials participated in the event. Consul General Shri Lavanya Kumar, Municipal Councillor Mr Massimiliano Mistretta and the diaspora members paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi. The event concluded with singing of Gandhi ji’s favorite bhajans and hymns.
