On the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas - Birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Consul General Shri Lavanya Kumar administered the 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' pledge to India-based officers/staff members of the Consulate.
Consulate Officials joined in the vibrant celebrations of Diwali organised by the Indian Tamil Community in Milan on 26 October 2024.
The Italian Hindu Union, in association with the Bharatiya Telugu Samiti, in Torino celebrated Diwali festival on 26 October 2024. Consul General Mr Lavanya Kumar and various local authorities of Torino city including the Vice President in the Municipal Council Ms Ludovica Cioria, President of Zone-4 Mr Alberto Re, and President of Zone-8 Mr. Massimiliano Miano joined in these celebrations. The Consul General also interacted with the Indian diaspora in Torino. Several cultural events organised on this occasion enthralled the audience.
#Ayurveda Day was celebrated at ‘Ayurvedic Point’ in Milan on 29 October 2024. The professors briefed the participants about the benefits of Ayurveda in daily life. The ‘Ayurvedic Point’ has been extending training on Ayurvedic therapies to medical professionals in Milan
Officials of the Indian Consulate participated in the ceremony of inauguration of Gurudwara Singh Sabha, Flero in Brescia, Italy on 27 October 2024. They also joined with the devotees in prayers and the Langar held on this occasion. The Consul General Mr Lavanya Kumar, on behalf of the Consulate, presented a copy of the special edition of the biography of Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji to the management of Gurudwara.
Members of Indian Student Society in the Humanitas University in Milan called on the Consul General on 25 October to discuss various issues related to the welfare of Indian students and collaboration with the Consulate.
Consulate organised a consular camp on 20 October in Comune di Marene, Cuneo. During this camp, various consular services including reissue and surrender of passports, issuance of OCI cards, and other miscellaneous services were extended to the members of the Indian diaspora.
As part of Consulate's outreach effort, Consul Raj Kamal led an interaction with the members of Indian community in Cuneo Province on October 19th, at Comune di Casalgrasso.
As part of the ongoing Special Cleanliness Campaign 4.0, Consulate General of India in Milan undertook a cleanliness drive in the Chancery premises.
ISRO & IN-SPACe hosted a networking reception event in Milan on 15 October on the sidelines of the ongoing International Astronautical Congress (IAC-2024). In the event, 13 Indian startups & private firms in the space sector signed MoUs with firms of various countries including Italy. Dr S Somanath, Chairman ISRO and Dr Pawan Goenka, Chairman IN-SPACe addressed the gathering.
As part of outreach to the community, Consul General Shri Lavanya Kumar visited ‘Politecnico di Milano’ (Polimi) on 15 October and addressed the Indian students pursuing various courses in the university. Besides interacting with students, he met the Rector and Professors. Consul Shri Raj Kamal also participated in this interaction.
As part of Special Campaign 4.0, All officials undertook Shramdaan activities during the cleanliness drive organised in the Consulate and contributed towards the Cleanliness of Chancery premises. #SpecialCampaign4.0
Consul General Mr Lavanya Kumar met the representatives of the vibrant #Yoga community in Milan on 09 October. Along with Consulate officials, he discussed preparations for the International Day of Yoga-2025.

Consul General Mr. Lavanya Kumar visited the office of Assolombarda in Milan on 04th October and met with Mr. Pietro Sala, Director of Institutional Affairs and International Relations Department and other officials.
