ADVISORY ON FAKE TELEPHONE CALLS

Consulate General of India in Milan (CGI, Milan) is being informed regarding instances of Indian nationals receiving fake telephone calls from numbers claiming to be from Italian Immigration Office, Italian Embassy in new Delhi and the Consulate.
Indian Nationals, especially students are therefore advised to be cautious about such fake telephone calls wherein callers introduce themselves as officials of CGI Milan OR Italian Embassy in New Delhi OR Italian Immigration Office, and try to extort money on the pretext of some Italian immigration related matters.
It is advised NOT to share your personal details or transfer money or make any payment over such fake telephone calls or email.
